Turin is preparing to host the third edition of the Salone del Vermouth, an event that takes on a special significance this year. The event will be the central stage for celebrating the 240th anniversary of the official birth of Vermouth, which dates back to 1786. This anniversary is more than just a recurring event, but a moment to rediscover one of the most authentic symbols of Italian tradition and to renew the deep and inseparable bond that ties it to its hometown.
The appointment is set for the 21 and 22 February 2026, with a whole week of initiatives spread throughout the city, through the Fuori Salone, from 16 FebruaryThe main location indicated by the organizers is the National Museum of the Italian Risorgimento, the perfect setting for a story that combines history, identity, and the culture of good drinking.

The Salone was created to promote culture. Producers, tastings, workshops, and meetings bring Vermouth back to the forefront as an expression of the region and Italian savoir-faire. It's a tangible reminder that Turin is not just a large, elegant, and industrial city, but also a gastronomic capital. And here comes the other protagonist of the Turin ritual: the sandwichIf Vermouth is the toast, the tramezzino is the daily gesture that accompanies it: simple, immediate, convivial. We are therefore celebrating together 240 years of Vermouth and 100 years of the Tramezzino, the inseparable companion of every aperitif.
The 2026 edition also focuses on guided tours and city tours designed to highlight the connection between Vermouth and its hometown, bringing people to the places where this story was born and continues to live on. For Turin, the Vermouth Show is more than an event: it's an opportunity to reaffirm that Vermouth is not a fad, but an Italian tradition with precise and deep roots.
