Il Taranto has decided to strike. The players are fed up and want to free themselves from this unsustainable situation. Read the news.
The Apulian club is seriously at risk of bankruptcy and if on the one hand there was the rumour that it would have "held out" until the end of the championship, on the other hand this strike has created a lot of agitation because not showing up on the pitch for the first time would lead to a 1 point penalty and a fine, but with a repeat offence it could lead to to exclusion from the championship.

What happens in case of exclusion?
Why could a possible exclusion shock the entire Serie C group C? The reason is easy to explain: according to the rules, all the matches played would be canceled, consequently the points gained against the teams eventually expelled would no longer have any value. Even if the withdrawal or exclusion from the championship occurred in the second half of the season, all the results achieved against that team would be invalidated.
The new (possible) ranking
The upper part of the Serie C group C standings, it would be completely changed (the score variation is in brackets):
- Cerignola 42 (0)
- Monopolies 41 (-3)
- Benevento 41 (-3)
- Avellino 40 (0)
- Power 39 (-3)
- Crotone 36 (-3)
