Pisa, high costs
The biggest impact was on costs, which rose above €50 million from just over €41 million the previous year, with significant growth related to sports management and personnel. Overall revenues amounted to €15,89 million, a sharp decline from €25,46 million the previous year. A detailed analysis of the individual items reveals a mixed picture. Stadium revenues grew to €2,64 million, nearly double the €1,51 million recorded in 2023/24, a sign of greater fan engagement. Operating contributions, however, declined to €5,38 million from €6 million the previous year.
Great numbers from sponsors
Positive signs are coming from the commercial front: sponsorship revenues reached €3,41 million, up from €2,7 million in 2023/24, while merchandising revenues rose to €0,77 million, more than double the previous season's €0,31 million. Television rights revenues, however, were decidedly negative, at €1,46 million, compared to €2,66 million in 2023/24. Players' rights management also significantly impacted the situation: revenues were limited to €1,28 million, without any capital gains, compared to €10,14 million in the previous financial year, of which €7,67 million came from capital gains. Other revenues completed the picture, amounting to €0,865 million, a slight increase from €0,684 million in 2023/24.
On the cost side, the most significant item remains personnel costs, which exceeded 28 million euros, accompanied by rising amortization and operating costs.
2025 Budget: Significant Numbers
Although the net worth remains positive at around 1,4 million euros, the overall debt rises to approximately 49 million, highlighting a financial structure under pressure.
The 2025 budget thus illustrates the cost of the sporting pursuit: promotion to Serie A represents an important foundation for the future, but the numbers now require more balanced management, so that the return to the top flight can also translate into lasting economic stability.
