Last night, the Palazzolo Acreide City Council approved the Single Programming Document (DUP). Among the interventions included is one regarding the former Magistrate's Court building. "This document," emphasizes Culture Councilor Nadia Spada, "contains projects which I bet on when they were still just ideas. Seeing them today in this document is an important step."
"The Villa Comunale," he added, "showed us what it means to believe in a place and work to restore it to the community. With the same determination, I'm pursuing other projects that fall within my remit and that tell the story of the Palazzolo I want."
Interventions planned at the former courthouse building
Palazzo della Cultura, in the former courthouse, is one of these. "I strongly supported it in opening it up to the city again, and I will continue to work hard," Councilor Spada reiterated, "so that, through participation in the Cultura Missione Comune 2026 call for proposals, it can become a cultural hub: a home for associations, with exhibition spaces, an art gallery, and activities that engage young and old. A vibrant building, every day."

Then there is the City of Carnival"A project I believe in," he said, "so that our master float designers finally have adequate spaces to create. But my vision goes beyond warehouses: papier-mâché workshops with schools and a museum space to pass on the works, stories, and knowledge of those who have made our Carnival great."
Interventions also at the castle and the cemetery
“I also care about the valorization of the Medieval castle and municipal cemetery – the councilor pointed out -. They are luoghi They tell our story and deserve care, accessibility, and a future. The approval of the DUP doesn't conclude this work: it gives it a concrete direction. I will continue to pursue it with the determination I put into the Villa Comunale, so that these projects can take shape and Palazzolo can reclaim its spaces. This is the meaning of my commitment and that of the Municipal Administration: to transform ideas into spaces that truly belong to everyone."
