The beginning of May was anything but spring-like from a climatic point of view: little sun, lots of nubi e downpours they affected the first half of the month more or less throughout Italy.
And then, lovers of the beautiful season begin to ask themselves, when will the real heat arrive?
Summer 2025: When Will the Heat Arrive?
Models indicate that summer 2025 could open with a strong instability climate, then leaving space to the explosion of heat. The beginning of summer is characterized by two faces: on one side a massive heat wave coming from North Africa, on the other a persistent oceanic influence destined to generate abundant rains in various areas of the Peninsula. According to projections, already in the days preceding the official start of the summer season, the first signs of intense African high pressure, with the arrival of the torrid heat.
North Africa will be the first to “boil”, with temperatures off the scale and well above seasonal averages, giving rise to real heat waves. This anomalous heat will not be limited to the African continent but will tend to push northwards, also involving large areas of southern Europe.
Basically, this intense heat wave is expected to mark the beginning of the season, between the end of May and the beginning of June. These are still projections so, like all these models, the reliability is not very high, but it really seems that summer is coming.
