Italiani.it was born from the desire to promote Italianness. We are known throughout the world for the taste of beauty, through art, culture, cuisine and other characteristics that make Italy a unique country. In centuries of migration and with the ease of communicating and traveling today, we have exported these characteristics, thus favoring the spread of excellence and Italianness in the world.
Italiani.it tries to discover these aspects, both abroad through the stories of Italians, and in Italy by promoting made in Italy products, conceived and made entirely in Italy, because Italians are proud of their heritage and want to promote it.
The challenge
The italiani.it project therefore revolves around the concept of Italianness and the correlated one of promoting Italy.
It is an exciting challenge: we want to convey ideas on what it means to "be Italian", communicating them in a clear, immediate, direct way.
The first experimentation with www.italianiamalta.com, which with its evolutions has brought the project to a maturity and awareness that are the basis on which Italiani.it will develop
The heart, the crux of this challenge is to bring out a variegated, multiple, non-pre-established idea of “Italian identity” that cannot be reduced to the classic stereotypes (both negative and positive) of being Italian.
For many, being Italian abroad means maintaining one's identity, integrating with that of the country in which one is located, bringing with it a heritage of inestimable value given by history, culture and all those aspects that make Italy unique. Defining oneself as Italian means feeling one of the characteristics that qualify us as such, the unique aspects of that Italian spirit that allows us to feel proud of our country.
The project wants to present itself as a mosaic of stories, news, impressions that recalls the warmth of a common belonging, of the sharing of experiences, perceptions, traditions, but also openness to the world, fluidity, permeability to the contributions of other cultures, contributions that allow fertile and unprecedented transformations and integrations.
The idea is to weave a common story made up of individual stories, to create "communities" through possible reflections, but also to deny easy generalizations that derive from stereotyped images. Added to this is the opportunity to share problems and solutions, information, initiatives, networking through the network.
The aim is to promote those stories.
Stories made of people, companies, products that deserve to be known in the world and that sometimes fail to emerge, those stories that represent Italians with their desire to do, to create, with their wealth of experiences and their culture.
We want to highlight both the best aspects of the Italians in Italy who are the driving force of our nation, and the spirit of Italians abroad who represent Italy with their initiatives.
