Italy weather. Another one is on the horizon this week wave of bad weather in several Italian regions, with heavy rainfall starting today, Monday 23 October. Despite a short period of relative stability after the recent storms, weather forecasts clearly indicate that disturbances will return in the short term.
Italy weather: new disturbances
Northern Italy will be the first to experience intense rainfall on Monday 23 October, initially concentrated in the Piemonte and later gradually extending across the entire North-West. On the contrary, Central Italy will enjoy a mostly sunny day, with maximum temperatures that could reach 25 degrees. In the South, increasing pressure will bring maximum temperatures close to 30 degrees in Sicily.
The meteorological situation will become further complicated on Tuesday, with heavy rainfall expected in most of the northern regions. Only Romagna will enjoy some sunshine. Meanwhile, bad weather will also spread across the Toscana, while in the afternoon and evening it will hit Umbria and Lazio.
Unstable weather
Wednesday will be characterized by more intense rainfall in the Alps, central-eastern Pre-Alps and in the Triveneto area. Precipitation will also be widespread in Central Italy, mainly in the Tyrrhenian regions and in Umbria. Southern regions will experience unstable weather, with possible showers and thunderstorms in Sardinia, Sicily and many areas of the peninsula.
Starting from Thursday 26 October, the North will be hit again by bad weather, and subsequently, the Central-South Tyrrhenian Sea will also suffer the consequences of the disturbances. Only from Friday could clear weather return, but rain is still expected along the coasts of the upper Adriatic and in the central regions, towards Campania and Tyrrhenian Calabria.
