The XX starts Week of the Italian language in the world which will take place from 19 to 25 October. This year will have the title "Italian between word and image: graffiti, illustrations, comics". It will be possible to range widely touching both historical-linguistic and expressive themes such as comics, the new frontiers of graphics and publishing for children. The network of italiani.it, with a dense network of bloggers all over the world, could not miss this important appointment. Those who collaborate in the project, not only Italians, have in common the love for our country. The Italian government has underlined the importance of involving the Italian community abroad, on a dissemination and planning level. Italiani.it, which thanks to its extensive network is present in the most important cities in the world where there are large communities of Italians, immediately got underway.
The promotion of the Italian language
Our community in Latin America it is very strong. Last summer there Foundation italiani.it, committed to supporting the study of the Italian language in the world, has launched a important project to respond to a widespread need in South America. He therefore financed 12 scholarships (other 4 were funded by Synergo, an Italian company based in Malta) to allow lovers of our language to attend a course with final certification. This gives an idea of how much work italiani.it is already doing for the promotion and protection of our language in the world.
Week of the Italian language in Latin America
The South American team of italiani.it, which covers the most important cities (from Buenos Aires to Rosario, passing through Asuncion), has been working for some time to develop a formidable agenda of events for the week of the Italian language in world.

The team of Latin American bloggers, coordinated by Amira Judge di enBuenosAires, predicted a busy schedule of appointments. The calendar of events
It starts Monday October 19 with a day dedicated to Italian Literature. Iván Mónaco of ItBuenosAires will interview the Italian language teacher Marianela Retamar on Zoom. Theme: "Dante Alighieri, father of the Italian language". The video intervention by Paola Stranges, Secretary General of the Dante Alighieri committee of Malta is expected.
