Easter Monday, more commonly known as Easter Monday, is one of the most beloved holidays by Italians.
After Easter celebrations, traditionally dedicated to the family, Easter Monday is the perfect opportunity to spend a day outdoors with friends and relatives.
Easter Monday and the Italian tradition
Tradition dictates that they should be organised trips outside the, picnic in parks, mountain excursions or outings in the countryside. These are some of the most popular activities. A packed lunch is a must, with typical dishes such as savory pies, grilled meats, cold cuts, cheeses and leftovers from Easter lunch.
In many regions of Italy, Easter Monday is also enriched by popular festivals and ancient religious rites. In Umbria, for example, traditional processions take place, while in some cities in the South, festivals with folk music and dances are organized. Despite local differences, the common thread remains the same: celebrating spring and rebirth by spending convivial moments in the open air. Even if the weather is not always favorable, Italians do not easily give up this tradition, armed with blankets, picnic baskets and a great desire to be together.

Speaking of weather, what will it be like this year? This time it seems that the climate may be more lenient than in the past, at least in the South where sunny weather is expected. The weather today will be variable almost throughout Italy, with some sunny weather and some cloudy weather.
But some pioggia there will be no shortage: precipitation expected in Trentino Alto Adige, in the South of Liguria and especially in Tuscany, some rain also in Sardinia, Lazio and Umbria. In the South, sun and no precipitation.
