What a surprise in the Italian Cup. Bologna lifts the 2025 trophy, the third in its history after the last in 1974. Italiano's men do little in the final at the Olimpico in Rome. In fact, against Milan, never really dangerous, Ndoye's goal, orchestrated by a masterful Orsolini, is enough. It ends 1-0, after a cold-blooded assault by Milan until the last minute, and it's a great celebration for the Felsinei. After a good championship, the rossoblù now have access to the Europa League 2025-2026.

First half

First half hungry for emotions in this Coppa Italia final. Only at the 10th minute did Milan become dangerous with Beukema and Jovic, in a matter of seconds, but Bologna goalkeeper Skorupski was ready. Then little or nothing, with Bologna however risking playing with one man less, given an almost red card-worthy intervention by Freuler on Leao. Portuguese nose pain after the tackle and for the Swiss only a yellow card.

Second half

In the second half everything changes. Bologna is lively and at 53' Italiano's men take the lead. Orsolini arrives and receives the ball inside the penalty area, Theo Hernandez makes a sliding tackle, but the ball arrives at ndoye who has plenty of time to fix it and pierce Maignan by the1 to 0 rossoblù. Milan tries to react with Leao, immediately after, but it is always the Emilians who hold the blow. At 71′ another Rossoneri action, with Theo Hernandez who with an incursion serves Gimenez, but is too weak on the goalkeeper. Immediately after, Castro's attempt from outside the area, but the conclusion does not worry Maignan.

The end

In the final stages of the match there was a lot of chaos, with Bologna barricaded in to defend their lead and Milan trying to equalize. In the 77th minute, a heroic Ndoye kicked with his left foot from the edge of the area, but the ball was far from the area. Then it was all Milan's forcing, with Conceicao who with a flurry of substitutions tried to take the match at least to extra time with an assault until the last minute. But it was all in vain: Bologna made history and won its third Coppa Italia.
