This Christmas it will be different from all the others, difficult for many. The covid19 marked us. We have a year behind us fighting against a 'global epidemic. We went through the quarantine. We were in solitary confinement for thesanitary emergency. We have seen so many people dying, doctors crying in the ward. Families on the pavement. Every day we experience the anxiety of tomorrow because we're not out of it yet. This Christmas is also eagerly awaited for its intrinsic meaning. Christmas is "rebirth". We want it to inebriate us with its magic, to bring peace and serenity to the hearts of all of us. We at italiani.it we have decided to dedicate ourselves to this Christmas in a particular way. Our cornucopia is full of initiatives. We want it to be a special Christmas, one that warms hearts.
The contest: your 2020 Christmas tree
As a first step, we launched one Challenge on our page Instagram (@ italiani.it) by title "Your 2020 Christmas tree". The rule is to post a photo of your tree. There is time until December 25th. A jury will choose the most beautiful photo. The winner will be announced on December 26th on our community site. We want our social networks to be filled with a thousand lights.
According to some polls, trees all over the world were decorated earlier this year. The reason? Anticipate the Christmas spirit, always festive and cheerful. We all need it. This time more than ever. This explains why we wanted to organize this contest. We also want to contribute to this magical atmosphere.
itCaffè, Christmas in the Italian tradition
Saturday 19 December at 15 pm on Zoom (broadcast Live on the page Facebook of italiani.it and all those of our network), our usual monthly appointment will be held. The itCaffè on Saturday will be dedicated to Christmas. The bloggers living in Italy will take stock of the situation. They will tell how this holiday is experienced in the various parts of the country.
We will talk about religious rites, traditions and typical dishes. From the bloggers of our network who are abroad we will know how much of the Italian traditions still lives on in their families. We will take an imaginary journey among the community of Italians in the world to let us tell everything: from processions to cribs, without neglecting the recipes of typically Italian Christmas dishes. From Adria a nice initiative: Tuesday 22 December at 17.30 pm on Facebook page of the Municipality of Adria it will be un face to face between Santa Claus and the Befana. A fun way to enjoy this very different Christmas. itVeneto could not miss this appointment and decided to go and interview the Befana directly at her home to send a greeting to the whole network.
The playlist of music
It's not Christmas without it music, songs, choirs and strennas. We could not overlook this very important aspect. Over the next few days on the Youtube channel of italiani.it a collection of music videos dedicated to this festival will be available. Videos that will marry tradition and innovation.
The protagonists are famous singers but also our bloggers who play for passion or work in life. All supporters of the italiani.it network
The Caffè Letterario of italiani.it starts
On December 16th at 18pm (the event can be followed Live on our Facebook page) a new project by italiani.it will also start. This is the Literary Cafe which will be edited directly by the publisher Paola Stranges.
A real treat. The program will host authors, poets, actors from time to time… Space, therefore, for art, music and culture. The first appointment will have in connection Marzia There. author of "Vertical Women"(ExCogita Editions). The illustrator of the text will also be present Eleonora Albanese.
A jingle for italiani.it
Finally, what is truly beautiful and exciting, the jingle by italiani.it. We are happy that one of our collaborators did it, Gaia Leo, Italian musician transplanted to Los Angeles. Gaia is very young but has a very respectable curriculum. She is a composer and arranger, works for national and international television networks (Discovery Channel and NHK Japan). She is also the author of soundtracks for films. With his partner Leonard Bertinelli he set up the music production house Bertinelli Sound. Two good musicians who hold high the name of Italy abroad. This makes us proud.
