Checco Zalone has done it again, setting a box office record for an Italian film.

Buen Camino, the latest comedy of Checco Zalone directed by Gennaro Nunziante, has just rewritten the history of Italian cinema at the box office. In just three weeks of programming the film has collected over 65,6 million euros and he scored more than 8 million viewers, becoming the highest-grossing Italian film of all time in Italy.

The previous record, held by Zalone himself with Quo Vado? (2016), was about 65,3 million euro; Buen Camino has now surpassed this threshold, consolidating the film's success.

The film, released the 25 December 2025, has set numerous records since its debut: best Christmas Day box office in Italian history, huge market share during the holiday season and a record Christmas opening that dominated the Italian public.
